Bahn MI wagyu frank sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 2 wagyu franks

  • 2 mini baguettes

  • carrots 

  • Jalapenos 

  • Nappa cabbage 

  • peppers 

  • Cilantro 

  • Sriracha 

  • Mayonnaise 

  • Sweet chili sauce

  • Lemon juice

  • Pickled Cucumber 

  • Pickled jalapeno 

  • Pickled radish

  • Pickled red onions

  • (For pickling)

  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar 

  • 1 cup water

  • 1/4 cup sugar 

  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Turn your grill on to 350°. Add the Wagyu hot dogs and cook for 8-10 minutes, occasionally turning, until they are browned and heated through. 

  2. Toast the baguette by resting it on the grill’s top rack and turning it occasionally. 

  3. To pickle the vegetables add vinegar, water, sugar & salt together in a sauce pot. Bring to a boil, then pour the liquid over the vegetables and let cool in the refrigerator for 1 hour to quick pickle. 

  4. Chopp the Nappa cabbage, julienne the peppers and shave the carrots on a mandolin. 

  5. To make the Sriracha Mayonnaise, combine sweet chili sauce, Mayonnaise, Sriracha, and freshly squeezed lemon. Whisk all ingredients together. 

  6. To build Bahn MI, spread Mayonnaise inside the baguette on both sides. Add wagyu frank, and add all vegetables, including Pickled vegetables. Pick some Cilantro to finish/garnish the sandwich with. Enjoy while the baguette is hot.
